When a repair makes sense
Localised damage to gyprock — a single sheet, a footstep through the bathroom ceiling, an isolated water mark — is usually a clean repair. We cut back to a fresh joint line, install new sheet, and tape, set, and sand so the finished area is invisible against the original.
When it's time to replace
If the damage spans more than one or two sheets, or the framework above is undersized, or the existing finish has age-related cracks across multiple rooms, full replacement is the better investment. You end up with a flat, modern ceiling on properly-spaced framing — and a long warranty that a patchwork can't match.

Honest assessments only
We won't quote a full replacement when a repair will do, and we won't promise a patch will hold when it won't. Our written quote tells you exactly which approach we recommend and why.
